Guy Schmickle is an avid photography enthusiast who enjoys capturing Mother Nature during her finest moments. Whether out and about exploring local haunts or traveling to some of this country's most jaw-droppingly beautiful locations, Guy is forever in search of that special combination of light and landscape that stirs his photographic soul.

Born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota, Guy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering at the University of Minnesota and had been a software developer for over 20 years. Other interests include golfing, skiing, bicycling, hiking, camping and much, much more. Basically anything that gets him out in the great outdoors.

A relocation in 2007 now finds Guy living near the small town of Bayfield in Colorado's southwest corner. Bayfield is situated on the doorstep of Colorado's mighty San Juan mountains and is also within reasonable driving distance to many beautiful locales in the Desert Southwest. All this scenic wonder has provided Guy the motivation for a fresh start as a professional photographer. With his beautiful wife, Tami, by his side...life is good in Colorado!
