Guided Photo Tours

Explore The Light Photography is now pleased to offer private photo tours for individuals or small groups interested in capturing the beauty of Colorado's San Juan Mountains or many spectacular locations within the Desert Southwest (see list below). If landscape photography is your passion and you'd like a relaxed, fun environment in which to shoot some of this country's most beautiful locations, let Guy tailor a trip to your needs. Whether your interest lies in photographing the icons which define this region or you'd rather get off the beaten path, Guy can provide an itinerary that's right for you. His extensive travels in the locations offered give you the best chance to shoot your desired subjects under the optimal lighting conditions. The amount of technical and creative photographic instruction during these tours is also up to the individual with as much (or as little) as desired.

Locations Currently Offered

- San Juan Mountains (southwest Colorado)
- Monument Valley (northeast Arizona)
- The Page area in northern Arizona (Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Slot Canyons, the Wave, White Pocket, etc).
- The Moab area in southeast Utah (Canyonlands and Arches National Park, La Sal Mountains, etc).
- Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument (southern Utah)

Trip durations may vary for a half day (San Juan Mountain tours only) at $175 to multiple day trips at $300/per day. An additional one-time $100 surcharge will also be levied for tours in the Page and Grand Staircase areas to cover Guy's travel costs.

Private Photoshop Tutoring

Are you new to digital photography and feel a bit overwhelmed by the complexities of post processing workflows/techniques? Or are you an experienced photographer just looking to add a particular Photoshop skill to your arsenal? Guy offers customized, private tutoring sessions for both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to help demystify these software tools and get your "digital darkroom" up and running (or running smoother). These sessions are all held in the relaxing environment of Guy's digital darkroom studio.

Pricing is $300 for a full day session, $175 for a half day, and $50/hr for sessions lasting less than 3 hrs.
